MS and Sony back Wii PDF Print E-mail

It seems that both Sony and Microsoft are behind Nintendo, with representatives from both companies stating that people should buy the Wii.

Microsoft's Peter Moore told an E3 audience that they should all buy the Xbox 360 and the Wii, because you can buy both for the price of the PS3 and they will both have a better library of games than Sony's machine. He started by saying "Tell me why you would buy a $600 PS3? People are going to buy two (machines.) They're going to buy an Xbox and they're going to buy a Wii ... for the price of one PS3." He then went on to say, "People will always gravitate toward a competitively priced product -- like what I believe Wii will be -- with innovative new designs and great intellectual property like Mario, Zelda and Metroid."

Following that, Sony's Phil Harrison went on record saying "The Wii will be the second console people purchase", meaning before the 360 and after the PS3.

Everybody Loves Wii by chad60 at Wed 13 Jun 00:16

Definitely, Wii has become as the most popular and most sought after gaming console nowadays. It is different from the usual gaming equipment that we used to know of. Many factors were given as to the reason for resurgence of this most innovative games machine over a very short period of time. One is the cost which makes it even more affordable to those who are tight on budget. And the other are the games that went along with the product that requires a different method of playing them. It's a fun gaming machine and is the reason why it is very attractive to gamers and non-gamers of all ages.
