Nintendo have revealed in an after-hours E3 conference the latest in the Smash Bros series, Super Smash Brothers: Brawl. Four new characters were announced, Pit from Kid Icarus, Wario, Zero Suit Samus from Metroid and the biggest chock, Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series.
In another unexpected announcement, Nintendo revealed that Brawl would not be using the any form of the Wii's controller, instead using the Gamecube contoller via the four GC ports on the Wii. Nintendo said, "we found that trying to implement too much motion-sensory functionality can get in the way of the game. We're looking at keeping the control simple, as it has been. The Wii hardware has sockets for the GameCube controller, too. So I'll just say now that you may not want to throw away your GCN controller yet."
Brawl will contain new weapons and powerups, including a giant Nintendog. Take a look at the screenshots in our gallery.
Nintendo also confirmed that the game will make use of the Wii's Wi-Fi capabilities, but will not be available for launch; instead sceduled for a tentative 2007 release.
We'll keep you informed of any details!

Everybody Loves Wii

Definitely, Wii has become as the most popular and most sought after gaming console nowadays. It is different from the usual gaming equipment that we used to know of. Many factors were given as to the reason for resurgence of this most innovative games machine over a very short period of time. One is the cost which makes it even more affordable to those who are tight on budget. And the other are the games that went along with the product that requires a different method of playing them. It's a fun gaming machine and is the reason why it is very attractive to gamers and non-gamers of all ages.
